Turkey’s 3-month salmon exports reached 84 million 406 thousand 690 dollars. According to the Eastern Black Sea Exporters Association (DKİB) data, Turkish salmon, which is transferred to cages in the Black Sea after reaching a certain weight in inland farms, found buyers in 20 countries during the January-March period. In this context, 11,899 tons of salmon were exported from Turkey in the first quarter of the year, generating a revenue of 84 million 406 thousand 690 dollars. During this period, the Russian Federation, the USA, and Japan were the top three countries where Turkish salmon was exported. In the January-March period, Turkey exported salmon worth 74 million 37 thousand 993 dollars to the Russian Federation, 2 million 382 thousand 754 dollars to the USA, and 1 million 233 thousand 111 dollars to Japan. Unlike the first quarter of the previous year, Turkish salmon was also exported to Azerbaijan during this period.
