The Russian Ministry of Defense has admitted to shooting down a F-16 fighter aircraft belonging to Ukraine with their air defense systems. In the past 24 hours, the Russian Ministry of Defense has made statements regarding the activities of the Ukrainian F-16 and the Russian army in Ukraine. The statement read: “A F-16 fighter aircraft belonging to the Ukrainian Air Force, 8 JDAM guided bombs, 7 HIMARS multiple rocket launcher missiles of U.S. manufacture, and 207 drones were shot down by air defense systems.” Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky had announced yesterday that the pilot of the F-16 fighter aircraft belonging to the Ukrainian Air Force had lost his life during an aerial combat mission. Zelensky did not share information regarding the location of the combat and the fate of the F-16 pilot who died.
