Sources speaking to Reuters have revealed that a Rear Admiral serving in a high-ranking position in NATO has been removed from duty.

In the United States, it is alleged that President Donald Trump’s administration has removed female Rear Admiral Shoshana Chatfield from a high-ranking position in NATO.

Information provided by three sources speaking to Reuters indicates that the removal is part of a process in which the Trump administration is expanding its “national security purge” targeting senior officials.

The Pentagon has not yet made an official confirmation regarding the matter. However, sources have noted that allied countries have been informed about Chatfield’s removal from duty.
