Retirees receive bonuses for Ramadan and Eid al-Adha every year. This year, bonuses will also be paid in March and June. Currently, the budget cost of the 6,000 lira bonus given to retirees for two holidays is 99 billion lira… If the bonus is increased to 4,000 lira, it will incur an additional cost of 34.5 billion lira. Approximately 16 million retirees will benefit from the regulation. Those who become eligible for retirement as of March 1st will also be able to receive the holiday bonus.
