The Çayırhan Thermal Power Plant and Mine Field auction was won by Akçadağ Construction Energy Mining Joint Stock Company for a price of 20 billion lira.

The auction for the Çayırhan Thermal Power Plant and Mine Field in Nallıhan district of Ankara has been concluded.

The Akçadağ Construction Energy Mining Joint Stock Company won the auction.

The company acquired the right to operate the mine field until the year 2059 for a price of 20 billion lira.

Miners who opposed the privatization had staged a protest.

During the 100th day of their protest, miners in Çayırhan had decided to shut themselves into the mine just 2 days before the auction for the land, buildings, and mine fields of the Çayırhan Thermal Power Plant was scheduled to be privatized.
