The reserves of the Central Bank have approached a record level of $157.386 billion. Net reserves have recorded an increase for the fifth consecutive week. The upward trend in Central Bank reserves continues, with net reserves increasing for the fifth consecutive week. The total reserves of the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (CBRT) increased to $157.386 billion in the week of October 11, with an increase of $1.071 billion from the previous week. Total reserves had broken a record with $157.39 billion in the week of September 27. The increase in reserves included $190 million in the value of gold reserves and $881 million from gross foreign exchange reserves. The CBRT’s net international reserves continued to increase to $58.31 billion last week, up from $2.22 billion. Net reserves rose from $56.1 billion to $58.3 billion. Excluding swaps, net reserves reached $37.2 billion from $34.6 billion in the same week.
