Memur-Sen demanded that the planned salary increase for some public servants be expanded to cover all civil servants. Ali Yalçın, the President of Memur-Sen, evaluated the additional increase regulation planned for the salaries of certain public servants in some titles with the relevant bill to be discussed in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey. Yalçın recalled that they submitted proposals for many titles at the 7th Period Collective Bargaining table as Memur-Sen, and stated that the Ministry of Treasury and Finance approached these increases negatively. Yalçın, evaluating that the planned raise for some titles of civil servants in the bill should not be done without consulting the social partners, stated, “We want the raise to be made in a way that covers the general public servants. We want to see all titles with expectations for a raise, and we want this increase to be spread gradually and fairly to all public servants.”
