The number of vehicles registered in traffic was recorded as 212,451 in September. The registered vehicle count is approaching 31 million. During the January-September period, the number of vehicles registered in traffic increased by 13.8% compared to the same period last year, reaching 1,961,456. The Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK) released the statistics on motorized road vehicles for September. According to the report, the number of vehicles registered in traffic in September increased by 6.9% compared to the same month last year, reaching 212,451. The vehicles deregistered from traffic during this period increased by 35.3% to 3,338. Thus, there was an addition of 209,113 vehicles in traffic in September. In terms of vehicle types registered in traffic last month, 56.8% were motorcycles, 29.5% were cars, 7.9% were vans, 2.9% were tractors, 1.6% were trucks, 0.9% were minibuses, 0.3% were buses, and 0.1% were special purpose vehicles. In September, the number of vehicles registered in traffic increased by 28.4% for minibuses, 5.2% for tractors, and 4.3% for motorcycles compared to the previous month, while it decreased by 52.4% for special purpose vehicles, 17.1% for buses, 5.3% for cars, 4.8% for vans, 1.7% for trucks, and 1.7% for lorries. Looking at the annual changes in the number of vehicles registered in traffic in September, there was an increase of 54.2% for minibuses, 27.4% for motorcycles, and 16.6% for buses, while there was a decrease of 31.6% for special purpose vehicles, 15.9% for tractors, 14.9% for cars, 3.8% for trucks, and 3.7% for vans. The number of registered vehicles is approaching 31 million. The total number of registered vehicles in traffic increased by 8.85% to 30,678,293 in September compared to the same month last year when it was 28,183,745. As of the end of September, 52% of the vehicles registered in traffic were cars, 19.6% were motorcycles, 15.2% were vans, 7.3% were tractors, 3.2% were trucks, 1.7% were minibuses, 0.7% were buses, and 0.3% were special purpose vehicles. Transfer of vehicles saw 992,171 vehicles registered, with 66.4% being cars, 14.8% vans, 11.5% motorcycles, 2.8% tractors, 1.9% trucks, 1.9% minibuses, 0.5% buses, and 0.2% special purpose vehicles. In September, 62,677 cars were registered in traffic. During this period, 12% of the registered cars were from Renault, 8.9% from Fiat, 6.6% from Volkswagen, 5.5% from Toyota, 5.5% from Hyundai, 5.5% from Opel, 4.9% from Skoda, 4.6% from Mercedes-Benz, 4.5% from Peugeot, 4% from BMW, 3.6% from Citroen, 3.5% from Dacia, 3.3% from Nissan, 3.1% from Kia, 3.1% from Honda, 2.9% from Chery, 2.3% from Ford, 1.8% from Audi, 1.3% from Volvo, 1.1% from Mini, and 11.9% from other brands. In the January-September period, the number of vehicles registered in traffic increased by 13.8% to 1,961,456 compared to the same period last year, while the number of deregistered vehicles increased by 2.1% to 22,962. Therefore, there was an increase of 1,938,494 in the total number of vehicles in traffic during the January-September period. During this period, it was found that 63.1% of the 746,595 cars registered were petrol, 14.6% hybrid, 12.4% diesel, 8.8% electric, and 1.1% LPG-fueled. As of the end of September, it was determined that 34.6% of the 15,963,660 cars registered in traffic were diesel, 32.3% LPG-run, 30% petrol, 2.1% hybrid, and 0.9% electric. The fuel type of 0.2% of cars was unknown. In the January-September period, it was observed that 32.6% of the registered cars had engine sizes of 1300 and below, 22.1% were 1401-1500, 16.7% were 1301-1400, 12.9% were 1501-1600, 6.3% were 1601-2000, and 0.7% had engine sizes of 2001 and above. During this period, 38.7% of the registered cars were grey, 25.8% white, 13% black, 11.1% blue, 6% red, 2.9% green, 0.8% orange, 0.8% yellow, 0.5% brown, and 0.4% were other colors.
