Istanbul, Esenboga, Adnan Menderes, Antalya, Milas-Bodrum, and Dalaman Airports broke passenger records in the year 2025. From March 28 to April 6, they served 6.1 million passengers. Minister of Transport and Infrastructure, Abdulkadir Uraloglu, reported that the number of passengers traveling by air in the first quarter of 2025 reached 45,175,946. Uraloglu stated that during the Ramazan Bayram holiday from March 28 to April 6, 6.1 million passengers were served at airports, breaking passenger records in many airports for the year 2025. The number of passengers exceeded 45 million. In the first quarter of 2025, the aircraft traffic for take-offs and landings at airports was 204,856 for domestic flights and 164,880 for international flights, totaling 500,022 aircraft movements including overflights. Uraloglu remarked, “During this period, Turkey’s airports served a total of 45,175,946 passengers, including direct transit passengers, with 20,680,980 domestic and 24,458,978 international passengers. Compared to the same period in 2024, total passenger traffic, including direct transit, increased by 2.5%. Airport cargo traffic reached 1,038,913 tons for domestic and international flights combined.”
