According to the data from the General Directorate of Meteorology of the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization, and Climate Change, record high temperatures for March based on seasonal averages were broken in 13 provinces and 17 districts across Turkey. A warm air mass on the 15th and 16th of March resulted in summer-like days nationwide. The average temperature for 16 days this month was measured at 10.2 degrees Celsius, exceeding the seasonal norms by 2.5 degrees. Looking at the March seasonal norms, temperature records were broken in 13 provinces and 17 districts nationwide. The provinces and districts with the highest temperatures were as follows: “Ordu 34.8, Adana 33.3, Osmaniye 32.5, Sinop 32.2, Denizli 31.6, Izmir 31.1, Kilis 30.1, Konya 29.2, Tekirdag 28.7, Kastamonu 28.5, Edirne 28.1, Afyonkarahisar 26.7, Bingol 23.7, Kozan 34, Antakya 32, Manavgat 31, Kusadasi 30.6, Yatagan 30.4, Edremit 29.9, Polatli 28.5, Luleburgaz TIGEM 28.6, Cermik 28.1, Tavsanli 29.5, Siverek 27.3, Gokceada 26.8, Adiyaman Golbasi 26.6, Beysehir 26, Elbistan 25.9, Tomarza 24.3, Gerede 24.”
