It has been reported that in the Philippines, 426 people died due to rabies in the year 2024.
The Philippines Department of Health provided information on the rabies cases that occurred last year.
According to the statement, “The Department of Health recorded 426 rabies cases throughout 2024. All cases resulted in fatalities.”
The ministry stated that this situation is proof that rabies is 100% fatal and added: “45% of these cases, nearly half, are due to bites from domestic animals. Therefore, the Department of Health reminds us to vaccinate our pets every year.”
