Qatar expressed concern over Israel’s attack on Iran and stated that it is a violation of international law. According to a written statement from the Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman spoke with his Iranian counterpart Abbas Araghchi over the phone. During the conversation that addressed the developments in the region, Abdulrahman condemned Israel’s attack and described it as a violation of Iran’s sovereignty and international law. He expressed deep concern over the escalation of tensions and called on all parties to act with restraint and avoid actions that could disrupt security and stability. Israel announced that it carried out attacks on military targets in Iran as a “retaliation” for Iran’s missile attacks on October 1. Iran announced that some military points in Tehran, Khuzestan, and Ilam provinces were targeted and that the air defense systems “successfully” countered the attacks, although there was “limited damage” in some points.
