Putin and Erdogan to Discuss Natural Gas Hub Project

According to Russian Deputy President Yuri Ushakov, there is a planned meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to discuss the proposed natural gas hub project in Turkey. Ushakov made this announcement during a press conference held before the BRICS Summit scheduled to take place in Kazan from October 22 to October 24. Ushakov mentioned that Putin will host many leaders, including President Erdogan, and provided details on the agenda of their bilateral meetings. The meeting between Erdogan and Putin is set to take place in Kazan on October 23, where they will specifically focus on the natural gas hub project planned for Turkey. Ushakov also stated that Putin intends to meet with a number of other world leaders during the BRICS Summit, including Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Chinese President Xi Jinping, Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, South African President Cyril Ramaphosa, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi, Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed, Laotian President Thongloun Sisoulith, Mauritanian President Mohamed Ould Ghazouani, Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Tinh, and Bolivian President Luis Arce. Ushakov added that a total of 36 countries, 22 of them high-level representatives, will be present at the summit.
