Swedes protesting against Israeli attacks in Gaza and Lebanon organized a demonstration in the capital Stockholm. Swedish activist Benjamin Robol stated, “Netanyahu’s war is escalating, and all of this is happening because of imperialism.” In Stockholm, the capital of Sweden, protests were held against Israel’s attacks on Palestine and Lebanon. Protesters gathered in the Odenplan area and marched towards the Swedish Ministry of Foreign Affairs. They chanted slogans such as “Killer Israel, get out of Palestine” and “Killer Israel, get out of Lebanon.” Carrying flags of Palestine and Lebanon, the demonstrators demanded an end to the “genocide” in Gaza and the increasing Israeli attacks in Lebanon in recent days. Swedish activist Benjamin Robol expressed that the protest was done to condemn Israel’s genocide. Robol stated, “We are here once again to condemn the horrific genocide that has been ongoing for a year. I believe that the system needs to be changed to bring peace to the Middle East and the world as a whole. Netanyahu’s war is escalating, and all of this is happening because of imperialism. Therefore, we must fight from the core of the system.” Robol pointed out that Netanyahu is continuing the war to stay in power, adding, “Netanyahu is trying to provoke Iran, and I believe his sole desire is to involve the US in war.” Swedish Left Party Member of Parliament Nadja Awad also emphasized the need for the Swedish government to stand against Israel’s actions in Palestine and Lebanon.
