Prices in public market burning pockets

The high prices in the public market in Zonguldak have reduced purchasing power.

The public market set up in the Soğuksu neighborhood in Zonguldak every Wednesday and Saturday experienced one of its busiest days. Citizens started coming to the market from the early hours of the morning to do their shopping. However, the high prices in the market have lowered purchasing power.

Potatoes were priced at 15 lira, onions at 12 lira, cabbage at 30 lira, cucumber at 50 lira, red mullet at 80 lira, beans at 50 lira, tomatoes at 50 lira, leeks at 40 lira, tangerines at 40 lira, tomatoes at 50 lira, and apples found buyers at 25 lira.
