President Şara’s first cabinet is announced in Syria

In Syria, the new cabinet under the leadership of President Ahmet Şara has been announced. The cabinet includes names from various sections of society. Following the fall of the 61-year-old Baath regime in Damascus, the capital of Syria, the inauguration ceremony was held for the first cabinet established under the presidency of President Ahmet Şara. In his opening speech at the ceremony, President Şara used the words, “Today is the day we started walking towards a future we deserve, with strong will and determination, drawing strength from our past.” Şara listed his vision plans by saying, “We will rebuild the state institutions, base all processes on transparency and accountability principles, and tackle the economic and social problems our people have been facing for years. We will protect human rights and basic freedoms, and strengthen them further. We will improve our education and health systems to offer a better life for future generations.” President Şara expressed, “By working together, we will develop our country and will not allow corruption to infiltrate our institutions in any way. Justice is the foundation of everything, and this value will be a compass guiding us in every decision we make.” President Şara stated, “We are determined on the path of change and development with this government. We will work day and night to not disappoint the trust of our people.” Ministers in the new cabinet also delivered speeches at the ceremony. The names of those included in President Şara’s new cabinet are as follows: 1- Foreign Minister Esad Hasan Shaibani 2- Defense Minister Murhaf Abu Kasra 3- Interior Minister Enes Hattab 4- Justice Minister Mahzar al-Wais 5- Higher Education Minister Mervan Halebi 6- Minister of Religious Endowments Muhammad Abu Hayr Shakri 7- Minister of Social Affairs and Labor Hind Kabavat 8- Energy Minister Muhammad Bashir 9- Finance Minister Muhammad Yusr Berniyah 10- Economy Minister Nidal Shaar 11- Health Minister Musab Nezzal al-Ali 12- Minister of Local Administration Muhammad Anjerani 13- Telecommunications Minister Abdulsalam Haykal 14- Emergency and Disaster Management Minister Raed Salih 15- Agriculture Minister Emad Badr 16- Education Minister Muhammad Abdulrahman Terko 17- Minister of Public Works and Housing Mustafa Abderazzaq 18- Minister of Culture Muhammad Salih 19- Minister of Youth and Sports Muhammad Sameh Hamid 20- Tourism Minister Mazen Salihani 21- Minister of Administrative Development Muhammad Sikaf 22- Transport Minister Yarub Badr 23- Information Minister Hamzah Mustafa. NAMES FROM DIFFERENT SECTIONS OF SOCIETY INCLUDED In the cabinet, names representing different sections of society were included, such as Social Affairs and Labor Minister Hind Kabavat, known in the Christian community, Agriculture Minister Emad Badr from the Druze-populated Suweida, Education Minister Terko from the Afrin region, and Yarub Badr, who served as Transport Minister between 2006 and 2011, from the predominantly Alevi population of the Latakia region, representing various segments of society. Meanwhile, it was noted that Intelligence Chief Enes Hattab assumed the role of Interior Minister, while the same names continued in their positions in the Foreign and Defense Ministries.
