Iranian President Masoud Pezhskian emphasized in his Nowruz holiday message that establishing healthy relationships with neighboring countries is their top priority. Pezhskian stated that they will tackle economic challenges and make radical changes to rid the country of injustices. Addressing the public in a video message released for the beginning of the new year according to the Solar Hijri calendar, Pezhskian mentioned the difficulties the country faced last year, including the sudden death of the former President Ibrahim Raisi and the genocides and war crimes committed by Israel in Gaza and Lebanon.
“We are determined to steer our beloved Iran away from ugliness, filth, and injustices at the onset of a new era, and we will make every effort to achieve this,” Pezhskian said. Acknowledging the public’s economic and social hardships, he added, “I am aware of the issues of inflation and high prices, and we will certainly find a solution to these problems with the support and participation of our esteemed Iranian people.” Pezhskian also expressed their intentions to make profound changes in the country by stating, “Continuing to govern and live as in the past will only exacerbate and intensify the imbalances.”
Regarding foreign policy, Pezhskian stated, “Having healthy relationships in all fields with neighboring countries is our top priority. With all countries in the world, we desire to establish a peaceful, fraternal, and humane world, far from terrorism, massacres, and the ruthless killings by criminals and oppressors.”
