Iran has warned the United States that it would be considered an accomplice if it supports Israel in an attack on Iran. Iran’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Amir Said Iravani, criticized President Joe Biden’s statements.
As tensions escalate in the Middle East, Iran has issued a new statement directed towards the United States.
Iran’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Amir Said Iravani, sent a letter to UN Security Council members and UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres. In the letter, Iravani reminded that President Joe Biden stated in Berlin that he was informed about Israel’s attack on Iran.
The Iranian representative said, “This implies the implicit approval and support by the United States of Israel’s illegal military aggression against Iran.” He noted that Biden’s statement contradicts claims that the U.S. wants to reduce regional tensions, highlighting that these remarks are provocative and dangerous.
AWARENESS OF THE ATTACKIravani warned in the letter that the United States would become an accomplice if it supports Israel with technical assistance, advanced weapons, and comprehensive air defense systems. He called for the condemnation of this instigation by the UN Security Council and demanded the U.S. comply with international law and the UN Charter. During a press conference on his trip to Germany, Biden had answered “yes” to a journalist’s question about having any information on when and how Israel’s attack on Iran would occur. Despite further inquiries, Biden avoided providing details about Israel’s attack plan.
