During the first three months of the year, pistachios worth 59.759 million dollars were exported from Turkey to 66 countries. Pistachios, which receive great interest from farmers due to their high economic gain and wide range of uses, are mainly produced in 22 cities in Turkey, especially in Şanlıurfa and Gaziantep. According to data compiled from the Southeastern Anatolia Exporters’ Associations, pistachios worth 229.777 million dollars were exported to 96 countries in 2024. In the January-March period of this year, a revenue of 59.759 million dollars was obtained from pistachio exports to 66 countries. Italy ranks on top of the list of countries to which Turkey exports the most pistachios. In the first quarter of this year, pistachios worth 18.546 million dollars were sold from Turkey to Italy. Following Italy in pistachio exports were Germany with 11.556 million dollars and Kazakhstan with 3.575 million dollars.
