Iranian President Mahmoud Pezeşkiyan stated that Iran will pursue the Zionist crime of Israel’s attacks on Beirut and stand alongside the Lebanese people and the resistance front. Pezeşkiyan condemned the attacks in a written statement following Israel’s strikes on Beirut, declaring that Iran will follow up on this Zionist crime and support the Lebanese people and the resistance front. He emphasized that Israel’s attacks once again demonstrated the regime as the greatest threat to regional and international peace and security. Pezeşkiyan called the Zionist regime’s attacks in Beirut today a clear war crime that illustrated the nature of this terrorist state. Urging all countries, especially Islamic nations, to strongly condemn the attacks, Pezeşkiyan described the assaults as a sign of the international community’s helplessness in stopping the state terrorism machine. He extended condolences to the people and government of Lebanon.
