Peruvian fisherman Maximo Napa Castro, who went missing in the Pacific Ocean, has been found alive after spending 95 days at sea. The fisherman shared his ordeal, mentioning that he drank rainwater and survived by eating turtles, birds, insects, and other creatures. According to local reports, Castro, who set out to fish off the coast of Marcona in southern Peru on December 7, 2024, and got lost due to bad weather, was finally located. The 61-year-old Castro, who had been missing for 95 days after going out to sea to fish in the Pacific Ocean, was rescued by Ecuadorian fishermen. Tearfully recounting his experiences during the 95 days, the fisherman revealed that he survived by drinking rainwater that collected in his boat and eating turtles, birds, and insects. He expressed that he often thought of his family to stay strong, particularly relying on thoughts of his few months old grandchild.
