The Pentagon, the U.S. Department of Defense, has declared that they will use deadly force until they reach their target in attacks against Iran-backed Houthi forces in Yemen.
In the statement, it was emphasized that Washington does not aim for regime change in Yemen. Brigadier General Alex Grynkewich, the Director of Joint Operations, shared details of the operations, stating that the initial wave of attacks in Yemen targeted over 30 facilities, including training centers and senior Houthi drone experts.
The Houthi forces had announced on March 7th that they would allow four days for the entry of aid to Gaza for Israel, or else they would resume sea operations against Israel.
President Donald Trump had instructed the military to launch a “major attack” against the Houthis in Yemen, as announced on his Truth Social platform account. The death toll from the attacks since then has risen to 53, with many more individuals sustaining injuries.
