The final figure for the increase in the holiday bonus for millions of retirees has been determined today. The current holiday bonus of 3 thousand liras has been raised to 4 thousand liras with a 33% increase. The proposal to raise the pension bonus to 4 thousand liras, including provisions for birth aid, has been submitted to the Turkish Parliament. Retirees receive bonuses for Ramadan and Eid al-Adha every year, with this year’s holiday bonus to be paid in March and June.

16 MILLION RETIREES WILL BENEFIT

Approximately 16 million retirees will benefit from the regulation. Those who become eligible for retirement as of March 1 will also be able to receive the holiday bonus.
