Opportunity for young entrepreneurs to access 6.25 billion lira in credits

Minister of Treasury and Finance Mehmet Şimşek announced that 6.25 billion lira in credit opportunities will be provided to young entrepreneurs. In his evaluation of the New Support Package for Young Entrepreneurs prepared in collaboration with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), Minister Şimşek emphasized the ongoing efforts to support entrepreneurs within the economic program framework. He mentioned that they effectively utilize the Treasury-backed guarantee system to increase young entrepreneurs’ access to finance under favorable conditions. Those under the age of 35 will benefit from this initiative. Minister Şimşek stated that within this framework, guarantee support will be provided by the Ministry under the credit source to be supplied to banks by the EBRD. Through the collaboration with EBRD, our young entrepreneurs will be supported with 6.25 billion lira in credit opportunities in exchange for a 5 billion lira guarantee through the Credit Guarantee Fund. This support aims to provide young individuals with the necessary resources, consulting, and training opportunities to establish and expand successful businesses. Minister Şimşek highlighted that under the support package, the top limit for guarantee per beneficiary will be 85 million lira, and the guarantee ratio will be 80 percent. He also noted that companies with owners and/or managers under the age of 35 who meet certain conditions will be eligible for the support package.
