Today, the heads of the CIA and Mossad will meet with Qatari Prime Minister Muhammed bin Abdurrahman es Sani in Doha to discuss a short-term ceasefire and hostage exchange in Gaza.
A new phase in ceasefire negotiations in Gaza is beginning today.
According to an official familiar with the talks, the directors of the American intelligence agency CIA and the Israeli intelligence agency Mossad will meet with Qatari Prime Minister Muhammed bin Abdurrahman es Sani in Doha.
In Doha, negotiations will begin for a short-term new ceasefire agreement in Gaza and for Hamas to release some hostages in exchange for Israel releasing Palestinian prisoners. The official stated that the goal of the talks is to ensure that Israel and Hamas agree to a ceasefire lasting less than a month in Gaza, hoping that this will lead to a more permanent agreement.
However, details regarding which or how many hostages and prisoners will be released as part of the agreement have yet to be finalized.
