According to a report from the New York Post newspaper, which relies on an unnamed Meta spokesperson, Mark Zuckerberg has purchased a $23 million home in the capital, Washington DC. The spokesperson mentioned that as long as Meta works on policies related to American technology leadership, Zuckerberg will spend more time at this mansion.
WALKING DISTANCE TO THE VICE PRESIDENT The mansion, located about a 15-minute drive from the White House, is also within walking distance of the official residence of US Vice President JD Vance. The mansion, covering 15,400 square meters, was described as the “third most expensive house ever sold in Washington” in the American Politico magazine.
MILLION DOLLAR HOMES OF BUSINESS PEOPLE Among the business people who attended the swearing-in ceremony of President Donald Trump on January 20, it is known that many American technology giants, including Amazon’s founder Jeff Bezos, own million-dollar homes in Washington. After Trump’s Facebook account was closed following the Capitol Hill riot on January 6, 2021, he reportedly reached an agreement with Meta in a lawsuit he filed claiming that he was subjected to “censorship,” and Meta agreed to pay around $25 million.
