In the United States, new lawsuits have been filed against American producer and rapper Sean Combs, also known as “Diddy,” for allegedly sexually abusing six people, including a 16-year-old child. Lawsuits under the aliases “Jane and John Does” were filed against rapper Combs based on complaints from four men and two women. The famous rapper is accused of a series of crimes, including sexual abuse, harassment, rape, forcing drug and medication use on six individuals, one of whom is a 16-year-old. The plaintiffs claim to be among over 100 people who say they were sexually assaulted and abused by Combs. A male plaintiff using the alias John Does stated that he attended one of the rapper’s parties organized by Combs at the age of 16 in hopes of becoming famous, where he alleges he was sexually abused by the rapper. The plaintiff mentioned feeling pressured with statements like “Don’t you want to be famous?” when failing to meet the rapper’s demands. Another plaintiff recounted being forced to take drugs and engage in sexual relations by the rapper during Combs’ famous parties in 2004. The plaintiff stated that they were threatened with death if they did not comply with the demands. Another plaintiff claimed that during the parties, Combs used violence against them and raped them. DIDDY’S TROUBLED PAST Combs, known as “Diddy,” was arrested on September 16 on charges of “sex trafficking, forced labor, kidnapping, confinement, arson, drug possession, bribery, and obstruction of justice.” The 14-page indictment shared with the public on September 17 by the court indicated that Combs held “Freak Offs” parties, sometimes lasting for days, typically recorded, mostly in their homes, pressuring individuals to engage in sexual intercourse. The indictment stated that Combs resorted to methods such as threatening to control the victims’ careers using his influence and engaging in economic, psychological, verbal, and physical violence. It was also noted in the indictment that during searches conducted at Combs’ homes, “controlled substances” were found. The indictment also mentioned that Combs offered bribes to witnesses and victims to remain silent or provide false testimony. Combs denied all charges against him in federal court in Manhattan. If found guilty, Combs could face a minimum of 15 years to a maximum of life imprisonment. The lawsuits against the American producer and rapper will commence on May 5, 2025.
