Hamas’ military wing, the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, has released footage of two hostages urging Israelis to pressure the government.
Once again, Hamas has released footage of hostages held in Gaza. In the latest footage released by the Qassam Brigades, a hostage with bandages on his hand stated that the building he was held in was bombed by Israel. After the bombing, the detainee returned to a tunnel 30 meters deep, saying, “We are dying in Gaza,” and calling on Israelis to pressure the Netanyahu government.
“DO NOT BELIEVE WHAT THE STATE TELLS YOU” Another hostage in the footage said, “Do not believe what the state tells you. They claim to pressure Hamas but this is the result of that pressure,” showing the wounds the other hostage sustained in the attack. The Qassam Brigades had previously released footage of the hostages on March 24th and 29th. Israel violated the ceasefire that came into effect with Hamas on January 19th after the end of the first phase of the 42-day ceasefire and prisoner exchange agreement, resuming violent attacks in Gaza on the morning of March 18th.
