A new era has begun in rental agreements. As of today, the first phase of the contract application through e-Government has been activated. Landlords and tenants can now make their agreements through the e-Government platform. The second part of the system, which includes real estate agents, will be launched by the end of the year. The service for preparing rental agreements through the e-Government Gateway has been made available to citizens as of today. Finance Minister Mehmet Şimşek had announced the completion of efforts for rental agreements to be made through the e-Government Gateway. The first phase of this service has now been implemented. Initially, e-Government users aged 18 and over can benefit from the service. In the first part of the service, the agreement prepared by real persons who own properties through the e-Government Gateway Rental Agreement Procedures will be approved by the tenant through the e-Government Gateway. Additionally, properties with up to 10 shareholders can also be rented out through this service. For rental agreements created through this service, a time-stamped barcode document can be generated, and document verification can be done through the e-Government Gateway. The second phase of the service will be introduced at the end of the year. In the following stages of the regulation, real estate agents and authorized individuals will be involved in the process with the role of preparing contracts and presenting them to the parties (property owner and tenant) for approval. The work on arranging contracts through e-Government was initiated based on the requests of citizens for resolving disputes in this regard. The aim of this service is to relieve consumers from the burden of submitting rental agreements to institutions. Furthermore, providing data for the creation of Turkey’s Real Estate Value Map through agreements is also planned. Minister Şimşek had stated that this service will benefit all sectors, allowing for contracts to be made quickly, easily, and reliably.
