Far-right members of the Religious Zionism Party in Israel have reportedly introduced a bill that stipulates the release of only one Palestinian captive for each Israeli hostage set free. According to Channel 12 TV, the far-right Religious Zionism lawmakers have presented a bill to the parliament that prohibits the release of multiple Palestinian captives in exchange for an Israeli hostage, a move vehemently opposed by the families of the captives. The bill also prohibits the release of Palestinian captives for the bodies of Israeli hostages. It was reported that Religious Zionism lawmaker Ohad Tal clarified that the bill he presented to the Knesset is not related to the ceasefire and prisoner exchange agreement violated by the Tel Aviv administration in Gaza. The report also mentioned strong opposition from Israeli hostage families to the proposed bill.
