1 Mins Read

A new report published in the Financial Times sheds light on Israel’s aggressive actions towards Lebanon, accusing the Israeli army of forcefully entering the UN Peacekeeping Force base in Lebanon and using white phosphorus from a dangerously close distance that injured 15 soldiers. The report reveals multiple attacks on UN forces in Lebanon, resulting in damage to facilities and injuries to soldiers. The incident on October 13th involved Israeli tanks breaking into a base, using chemical weapons, and causing burns and respiratory issues to peacekeepers who were hospitalized. The UN’s confidential document confirmed the use of white phosphorus in the attacks on UNIFIL forces and bases along the border. Israeli military has been targeting UNIFIL bases directly since October 8th.
