It was reported that Iran was preparing to respond to the attacks and would retaliate proportionally. The attack resulted in the death of four Iranian soldiers.

Simultaneous explosions were reported in the Syrian capital, Damascus, and the city of Homs, alongside the explosions in Tehran.
