Following the announcement of the death of Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar by Israel, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu reiterated that attacks on the Gaza Strip will continue. Netanyahu posted a video message on his social media account after the statement from Tel Aviv authorities regarding Sinwar’s death. Netanyahu stated that Sinwar died in an Israeli attack and claimed that Hamas can no longer “govern the Gaza Strip”. By saying that “the war is not over,” Netanyahu pointed out that attacks on Gaza will continue. Netanyahu also mentioned the issue of Israeli captives in Gaza and stated that they will continue to work to bring these captives back.
