2 Mins Read

According to Iranian sources speaking to Reuters, Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei allegedly warned Hezbollah Secretary-General Hasan Nasrallah to flee Lebanon days before a potential Israeli attack to avoid being killed. The sources claim that Khamenei expressed deep concerns about Israel infiltrating high levels of the Tehran government and stated that he “no longer trusts anyone”.

Reuters, based in the UK, spoke with Iranian officials regarding the potential assassination of Hezbollah Secretary-General Hasan Nasrallah.

Three Iranian sources revealed that Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei, advised Nasrallah to flee Lebanon days before a potential Israeli attack.

Khamenei is now deeply concerned about Israel infiltrating high levels of the Tehran government.

A senior Iranian official speaking to Reuters stated that immediately after the attack on Hezbollah’s booby-trapped calling devices on September 17, Khamenei sent a message through an envoy requesting Nasrallah to come to Iran. The official referenced intelligence reports claiming that Israel had agents within Hezbollah planning to assassinate Nasrallah.

The official mentioned that the envoy was one of Iran’s top Revolutionary Guard commanders, Abbas Nilforoushan, who was with Nasrallah when his hideout was hit by Israeli bombs. Nilforoushan was also killed in the attack.

“No Longer Trusting Anyone”

A senior Iranian official stated that since Saturday, Khamenei, who has been in a secure location in Iran, personally ordered the launch of approximately 200 missiles towards Israel on Tuesday.

Another official mentioned that Khamenei stated he “no longer trusts anyone”.
