Mystery in the South China Sea: “Installation of Special Radar System”

1 Mins Read

Satellite images indicate that China is constructing special radars on the disputed reefs in the South China Sea. Allegedly, China is conducting construction work for a radar system, along with a missile battery launch ramp for ship defense on Triton, connected to the Paracel Islands.

Satellite images show that the Chinese military is building a new radar system on a disputed reef in the South China Sea, significantly enhancing surveillance capabilities in the region. According to military analysis, China is enhancing its outpost on Triton Island, constructing a site that could serve as a launch point for ship defense missile batteries and an advanced radar system. The SIAR radars, purportedly to be placed on the island, which is allegedly 250 kilometers from Vietnam, are said to be capable of detecting the presence of stealth aircraft.

CHINA CLAIMED “AIRCRAFT RUNWAY” Analysts examining the satellite images also contend that a storage building for missile carriers is being constructed on Triton. The Beijing government has not yet issued a statement regarding these claims. Previously, China claimed that a “aircraft runway” was being built in the region based on satellite images from 2023 showing construction activities on Triton.
