The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed its reaction to Israel’s ground operation in Lebanon. Stating that the attack would create a new wave of migration, the ministry said, “It is highly likely that extremists around the world will gain ground as a result of this dangerous invasion attempt.”
A statement was issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs regarding Israel’s ground operation in southern Lebanon.
The statement highlighted that Israel’s initiation of a ground attack on Lebanon, violating the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the country, is an unlawful occupation attempt, noting that “This attack must end immediately and Israeli soldiers should withdraw from Lebanese territory.”
The ministry pointed out that the attack targets not only the security and stability of regional countries but also those outside the region, stating, “It is highly likely that a new wave of migration will emerge as a result of this dangerous invasion attempt, and extremists gaining ground worldwide. It should not be forgotten that these developments will also affect countries that provide political support and arms to Israel.”
Continuing its statement by saying, “The United Nations Security Council must fulfill the requirements of international law and take necessary measures against this attack on Lebanon’s occupation,” the Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized:
“Every crime committed by Israel is a blow to international law and the UN Charter. On the other hand, the primary action to be taken to establish calm in the region is to ensure an urgent and permanent ceasefire in Gaza. Bringing peace to Gaza is the responsibility of all humanity.”
