Minister of Transport and Infrastructure, Abdulkadir Uraloğlu, highlighted that the uninterrupted work continues on the 17.5-kilometer Arnavutköy-Halkalı section of the Halkalı-Istanbul Airport Metro, stating, “We aim to complete all work by mid-2025 and open our line by the end of 2025.”
During his inspection of the Halkalı-Istanbul Airport Metro Line, Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu discussed the rail system projects implemented by the Ministry in metropolitan areas, mentioning that the total length of urban rail system lines put into service nationwide has reached 434 kilometers. Uraloğlu stated that they are continuing the construction of a 79.4-kilometer urban rail system line in Istanbul, Kocaeli, and Bursa, and planning to construct 324.1 kilometers of new lines in Istanbul, Sakarya, Bursa, Ankara, Izmir, Samsun, Trabzon, and Konya. Minister Uraloğlu expressed, “Upon completing the projects under construction and those planned, we will have constructed a total of 837.5 kilometers of urban rail system lines across our country.”
