Minister of National Education Yusuf Tekin expressed his opinion on the sit-in protest in front of the ministry building by CHP, saying “My advice to CHP or others regarding the sit-in protest of teacher candidates is this, they should not exploit the emotions of our teacher candidate friends.” He stated that they completed the interviews without any favoritism or nepotism.
Responding to questions from journalists before the AK Party Parliamentary Group Meeting, Minister of National Education Yusuf Tekin talked about CHP’s sit-in protest in front of the Ministry of National Education to draw attention to the interview process for teacher appointments. “My advice to CHP or others is this, they should not exploit the emotions of our teacher candidate friends. When we mentioned that we would conduct interviews, they eagerly started to expect favoritism or nepotism.” said Tekin, “We completed the interviews without any favoritism or nepotism. When they had nothing, they started to exploit the emotions of our friends. It’s really a shame. It’s not the right thing.” he added.
“A PROBLEMATIC SITUATION” Tekin emphasized the importance of not playing with the emotions, honor, and dignity of teachers, stating, “If any teacher colleagues have any thoughts about favoritism, unfairness, or injustice related to the interviews, they can go through the necessary objection process with the commissions, we will do what is necessary, there is no need for anyone to take action. People without any substance are playing with the emotions of teachers. Morally, it’s a problematic situation.”
