Evaluation of industrial production data was done by Minister of Treasury and Finance, Mehmet Şimşek. Minister Şimşek, in a post on his social media account, stated, “Following the strong growth in the last two months of 2024, industrial production contracted in January due to correction in sectors with high volatility on a monthly basis but continued its annual increase.” He emphasized that the number of sectors contributing positively to industrial production on an annual basis increased, and the moderate recovery in activity was seen spreading broadly.
