Minister of Treasury and Finance Mehmet Şimşek highlighted that inflation expectations are improving across all segments of society, stating that “The positive trend in the inflation outlook and expectations will continue with the implementation of our program with determination.” Şimşek shared his assessment on the Central Bank’s Sectoral Inflation Expectations via his social media account. He pointed out the improvement in inflation expectations, stating: “Improvements in inflation expectations are observed across all segments of society. Due to the disinflation process, the annual inflation expectation for 12 months ahead has decreased by 8.9 points in households, 6.5 points in the real sector, and 5.8 points among market participants over the past 5 months. The positive trend in the inflation outlook and expectations will continue with the determined implementation of our program.”
