Minister of Environment, Urbanization, and Climate Change Murat Kurum stated that “180 thousand housing units are being renewed in 39 districts of Istanbul.”

Speaking at the Key Delivery Ceremony of Social Housing and Urban Transformation Projects in Basaksehir, Minister Kurum announced another step in the “Half of It Is Ours” campaign, saying, “In large-scale area-based transformations, and site transformations where the citizens have reached an agreement, as the Ministry, we immediately step in and initiate the transformation with the guarantee of TOKI and Emlak Konut.” He continued by saying, “In our ‘Half of It Is Ours’ campaign, we made some improvements needed by our citizens and started a new application period. By removing the time restriction, we allowed our citizens in 39 districts of Istanbul to apply indefinitely. We did not allow any of our citizens to experience any loss of rights.

We continue to offer a total support of 1.5 million Turkish liras to you. Now, we are taking another step so that our citizens can benefit from the transformation in the best possible way.
