In the first quarter, Turkey exported $3.622 million worth of crushed red pepper to 59 countries. According to data compiled from the Southeastern Anatolia Exporters Union, last year, $13.9 million worth of crushed red pepper was exported from Turkey to 101 countries. The export of crushed red pepper, which was $3.597 million in the January-March period of last year, increased to $3.622 million in the same period this year. Germany took the lead in crushed red pepper exports by country with $724,000, followed by the Netherlands with $512,000 and the United Kingdom with $329,000.
