Rental increase rates are determined based on inflation, while civil servant and retiree salary increase rates, which also increase twice a year, are determined according to inflation. The Turkish Statistical Institute (TURKSTAT) released the 2025 March inflation data. Homeowners and tenants are focusing on inflation. Inflation data affecting rental increases are closely followed by homeowners and tenants. Here’s information about the March 2025 inflation announcement… WHAT WAS THE INFLATION RATE IN MARCH?

Inflation in March came in below expectations at 2.46% on a monthly basis. The annual inflation rate, on the other hand, decreased to 38.10%. WHICH WAY IS THE INFLATION EXPECTATION HEADED? The Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (CBRT) published the March Market Participants Survey, conducted with 68 participants consisting of representatives from the real and financial sectors, and professionals. According to the survey, the TURKSTAT CPI increase expectation for March, which was 2.26% last month, rose to 2.27% during this survey period. The year-end CPI increase expectation dropped from 28.30% to 28.04%. The expected increase in CPI for 12 months later decreased from 25.26% to 24.55%, while for 24 months later, it fell from 17.26% to 17.06%.
