International Women’s Day on March 8 is being celebrated this year with demonstrations in all countries calling for equality. Women around the world took to the streets against violence and inequality. Governments’ women policies were protested from Europe to America, Asia to Africa. In Bolivia’s city of La Paz, thousands of women gathered before March 8 and marched with banners.
Protests against the police marked the demonstrations. In the capital Madrid of Spain, women were in the squares.
Striking photos from the events were shared. In the capital Kiev, a minute of silence was held for women killed in the war with Russia during the rally. Rome became the address of the demonstrations in Italy.
