The Israeli army has expanded the evacuation order issued for the forced displacement of Palestinians in the neighborhoods of Ez-Zeytun, Tel el-Heva, and Sheikh Ajlin in the city of Gaza.
Israeli army spokesperson Avichay Adraee, in a post on X account, mentioned that the area requiring evacuation has been expanded eastward to include the old city district in addition to the mentioned neighborhoods. Adraee, who stated that this was the final warning before the attack, claimed that rockets were fired from this area. He emphasized the need to move south from this densely populated area.
UN: 142,000 DISPLACED IN ONGOING ATTACKS
A spokesperson for the United Nations mentioned that Israel’s issuance of evacuation orders and continued hindrance of humanitarian aid access has deteriorated the situation in Gaza. Following the resumption of attacks by Israel in Gaza, it was reported that 142,000 individuals were displaced again, with evacuation orders covering 17% of Gaza.
Meanwhile, Israeli Defense Minister Yisrael Katz announced that they would carry out intense attacks on new areas in Gaza. Katz accused Hamas of endangering the lives and homes of Palestinians in Gaza. 90% OF 2.3 MILLION PALESTINIANS IN GAZA DISPLACED
During the attacks initiated on October 7, 2023, and lasting until the ceasefire established on January 19, 2025, the Israeli army had released maps containing instructions for Palestinians to migrate within Gaza. According to figures shared by the United Nations, approximately 90% of the roughly 2.3 million Palestinians in Gaza have been displaced at least once due to Israeli military assaults. The Israeli army violated the ceasefire on January 19 by launching intense attacks on the Gaza Strip on the morning of March 18.
