The exports of Malatya have surpassed $300 million in various categories, ranging from dried fruits to textiles. From the region where a significant portion of the world’s dried apricot production takes place, Malatya achieved exports of $303,055,000 in different sectors within 9 months, including dried fruits and textiles. According to data compiled from the Turkish Exporters Assembly, Malatya, affected by earthquakes centered in Kahramanmaraş on February 6th, saw $45,702,000 in foreign sales in September. Malatya increased its exports by 10.7% in the first 9 months of this year compared to the same period last year, reaching a total of $303,055,000 in exports. During this 9-month period, Malatya earned income from dried fruits and products totaling $144,631,000, electrical and electronic products $30,523,000, aquatic and animal products $22,219,000, machinery and spare parts $18,950,000, fruit and vegetable products $15,145,000, textiles and raw materials $12,995,000. Sector officials have announced a year-end target of $500 million.
