The largest fair in the machine tool industry, MAKTEK AVRASYA, has opened its doors with the theme of “Digital Transformation.” Known as the largest fair in the Eurasian region, MAKTEK AVRASYA will continue until October 5th.
MAKTEK AVRASYA, eagerly anticipated by the industry, opened its doors to visitors with a lively opening ceremony.
Scheduled to take place at Tüyap Fair Convention and Congress Center from September 30 to October 5, 2024, the fair brings together the world’s leading companies and the most important brands in the machine sector.
Organized by Tüyap Fairs Inc., in cooperation with the Machine Industrialists and Business People Association and with the support of the Machinery Manufacturers Association, this event is receiving intense participation and interest in the sector. Speaking at the opening ceremony of the fair, Tüyap Fairs Production Inc. General Manager İlhan Ersözlü stated, “With the fairs we have organized so far, we have reached 4,000 local and foreign participating companies and 430,000 business people. MAKTEK Eurasia has now become a sought-after fair in the industry.
It has become one of the top six fairs worldwide in its field. This year, our fair hosts 1,000 participating companies from 32 countries, with 110 companies directly attending from 7 countries.
The main theme of our fair this year is ‘Digital Transformation.’
Visitors will have the opportunity to experience the use of artificial intelligence in production, robotic technologies, and innovations in the digital world. In addition, to support students studying in engineering faculties at universities, we have initiated a scholarship fund in collaboration with the Turkish Education Foundation. We all need young generations, and this fair creates an important platform for taking steps towards the future.”
“PRODUCING VALUE-ADDED PRODUCTS IS POSSIBLE WITH ADVANCED TECHNOLOGY AND KNOWLEDGE”
During the fair’s opening, Murat Akyüz, the Chairman of the Machine Tools Industrialists and Business People Association (TİAD), stated, ” When we talk about machine tools that create factories, we mention prosperity and social development. Because if the economy is strong, the culture, education, and social life built on this foundation are unshakeable.
The technologies we will see at MAKTEK Eurasia 2024 are crucial for the development and prosperity of our country. Preserving competitiveness and producing value-added products that can compete globally is only possible with advanced technology and knowledge. We are here where technological capabilities that serve our needs and goals compete in an era powered by technology transfer derived from research and development and innovation, and we trust in the impact and power of MAKTEK Eurasia.”
“IN THE END, THERE’S ALWAYS A MACHINE” Selim Emre Gencer, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Machinery Manufacturers Association, stated, “In order to survive in competition with our main markets, we are compelled to continue our investments. For us to achieve this, we need more public support than ever. As long as we are patient, financial stability is essential for us industrialists.”
Noting Turkey’s significant machinery sector, Adnan Dalgakıran, the Chairman of the Turkish Machinery Federation, mentioned, “The machine sector is the foundation of the industry. Regardless of how much digitalization and robotic technology there is, there is always a machine in the end. We must focus on how to advance this sector. The machine sector has made great strides in terms of knowledge and development, but this is not enough. Because no one is at a standstill. We need to identify our weaknesses in the competition and engage in self-criticism.”
