The import of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) in Turkey decreased by 7.13% in July compared to the same month last year, reaching 306,937 tons. According to the “LPG Market Sector Report” of the Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EPDK) for July, imports were made from Algeria, the United States, Russia, Kazakhstan, Georgia, Rwanda, and Italy by refiners and distributors. LPG imports decreased by 7.13% in July compared to the same month last year, totaling 306,937 tons. Meanwhile, LPG exports by refiners and distributors in this period decreased by 52.65% to 17,957.70 tons. The exports were made to 6 countries and regions, including Germany, Lebanon, Ukraine, the TRNC, Singapore, and Turkish free zone. LPG production, on the other hand, increased by 18.64% to 87,573.66 tons during the same period. Total LPG sales by distributor license holders in July compared to the same month last year were estimated at around 377,464.28 tons. Autogas held the largest market share with 83.67% of sales in that month, followed by 13.84% for bottled LPG and 2.50% for bulk LPG sales.
