During the virtual patrol activities of the Ankara Provincial Gendarmerie Command, legal action was initiated against 1089 internet sites identified as illegal. According to a statement from the Provincial Gendarmerie Command, a total of 1475 social media and URL addresses were examined between September 1-30. Within this scope, legal action was taken against 919 sites enabling illegal gambling, 160 sites sharing obscene content, and 10 sites identified as engaging in fraud through phishing methods. Additionally, as part of efforts to solve cybercrimes with unknown perpetrators, 12 cases of sophisticated fraud were resolved. Legal proceedings were initiated against 18 individuals involved in the mentioned crimes.
