A law proposal regarding the pension bonus being 4,000 liras has passed the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM). With the acceptance of the law proposal, attention has turned to the difference payments. Pension bonuses of 3,000 liras were deposited to SSK, Bağ-Kur, and Retirement Fund retirees. As the relevant law proposal has not been enacted, the delay in difference payments has put the focus on SGK. The final round of pension bonus payments will continue on the 27th-28th of March. So, have the pension bonus differences been deposited, when will they be paid? Here is the method to inquire about the pension bonus difference… The inquiry screen for the pension bonus is receiving high interest. Payments other than the differences in pension bonuses will be completed within four (4) days. Payments for bonuses vary according to the allocation number. Retirees and other beneficiaries have two alternative methods to check whether the bonuses have been deposited. Those receiving widow’s and orphan’s pensions will benefit from payments based on the share ratio. Elderly pension recipients, on the other hand, will receive the full bonus. This year, pension bonuses increased by 33% to reach 4,000 liras. Initially, the bonuses started to be deposited at 3,000 TL. So when will the pension bonuses for 2025 be deposited? Here is the bonus inquiry method… The Minister of Labor and Social Security, Vedat Işıkhan, stated in his latest announcement that “The regulation regarding the pension bonus will be published in the Official Gazette after passing through the Parliament and will be deposited into retirees’ accounts.”
The law proposal to increase the pension bonus to 4,000 liras was accepted in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM). Following its publication in the Official Gazette, difference payments will start. Retirees who want to check if the pension bonus has been deposited can easily do so through e-Government. Users who log in to e-Government with their ID number and passwords can check their payment status by entering “Pension Bonus and Thirteenth Payment Inquiry for Retirees” in the search bar in the top right corner. The inquiry allows checking the bonus year, type, sharing, and payment status. Retirees whose payment status is marked as “Paid” will have their bonuses deposited into their accounts.

Following the ongoing law proposal in the TBMM, the increase in the pension bonus will be published in the Official Gazette and put into effect. In a statement regarding the difference payments in bonuses, SGK mentioned, “Following its publication in the Official Gazette, the payment of the difference amount will be made as soon as possible.” Another alternative method is for retirees to check whether the pension bonus has been deposited through the mobile banking section of the banks where they receive their pensions or via phone banking. Payments will be made starting from 24th of March for those with allocation numbers ending in 17,18,19. Those with allocation numbers ending in 20,21,22 will receive payments on Tuesday, 25th of March, and those ending in 23,24,25,26 will receive payments on Wednesday, 26th of March. Bağ-Kur (4b) retirees will receive their bonus payments on Thursday, 27th of March, while Retirement Fund (4c) retirees will receive their bonus payments on the 28th of March with their April monthly payments.
